Lama Thubten Phurpu

DorjeShugden.net has received very good news that Lama Thubten Phurpu has recently been on a teaching tour to Italy, Switzerland and Nepal.

A prominent Gelugpa lama from Yulshu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Lama Thubten Phurpu was invited to the West to give teachings and Dharma discourses, just like how Lama Jampa Ngodrup visited Switzerland last year for the same purpose.

China has been very supportive of the growth and propagation of the Buddha Dharma especially Je Tsongkapa’s tradition, and many have benefited from Lama Thubten Phurpu’s visits as he fearlessly spreads the teachings of Je Tsongkapa and Dorje Shugden to the world.

While in Italy, both H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche and Lama Thubten Phurpu were offered a long life puja (Tenshug), requesting both Lamas to live long and to continue their works of turning the Dharma Wheel. It was an auspicious event filled with auspicious signs indicating the tremendous benefit these two great lamas would be bringing to the world.

One such notable omen occurred after the puja ended, with a wild boar greeting H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche just outside the temple. Rinpoche took this as an auspicious omen by the female Buddha Oserchenma.

In Switzerland, Lama Thubten Phurpu gave a series of Lamrim teachings in Rabten Choeling, and was also offered a long life puja by its members. It is heart-warming to see the Dharma spreading far and wide both within Tibet and beyond. We rejoice in Lama Thubten Phurpu’s beneficial works and pray that his works will continue to touch the lives of many.
